And so quickly, you did it, flying past another stretch goal, cutting deeper into the shadows of this forlorn house! 

The Trophy Room Unlocked

...along with all of the strange and obscene trophies Bluebeard stores there. Tarnished brass and polished teeth. Stone spears and satin ribbons. All trophies of sinister tales. All waiting to be held, touched, and examined…

So that means 6 more cards in the Deck of Objects, bringing it up to a total of 34 cards! And there are still plenty of stretch goals to come, including the one we’ve already revealed—the North Gardens—and our next one: 

Stretch Goal #4 - $15,000 - Exploring the Gallery

A man must, of course, have a place to display the art that shows his status. If we reach this stretch goal, we’ll add 6 more mysterious objects to the Deck of Objects, bringing the Deck up to a total of 40 cards.

Everyone who gets the Deck of Objects, whether backing at THE BEDROOM or above, or adding it to your pledge as an add-on will get the full version, with all the unlocked cards fleshing out the possible fragments of terror you can use in your game.

Here’s a bit of a closer look at what you can expect:

"Rough, pocked to the touch. Black metal grooves filled with reddened crust. The scissors are caked in rust, the blades of the bird’s beak....they are pristine. Polished, even. And sharp as a razor. Unstained and waiting for the next cut….

The blades of the black ibis’s beak remain closed, up until the moment you slide a finger and thumb into the holes. Then they swing open with the faintest, small whine of metal. The whisper of a bird’s cry."

You did it—you blew past our first stretch goal and opened up the East Wing! 

The East Wing Unlocked

A new wing of the house revealed, a new set of nightmares to experience, a new set of dark truths to uncover. And while you have unlocked the East Wing and the horrors therein, there is still more to discover…

We have plenty more stretch goals to go, and plenty more darkness to explore! Your support has been amazing so far, and we can’t wait to see how far we go!

Here’s our next unveiled stretch goal: 

Stretch Goal #3 - $12,500 - Unlocking the North Gardens

The Gardens of the manor are a foreboding labyrinth of hedges opening up onto groves of brilliant, sickly sweet-smelling flowers or uncanny topiaries. If we reach this stretch goal, we’ll add 5 more rooms to the Book of Rooms, bringing the Book up to a total of 30 rooms and approximately 60 pages.

Keep in mind that everyone who backs at the THE GARDEN level ($20) or more will be getting a PDF version of the Book of Rooms, including all these new unlocked and macabre chambers.

The Door Opens

We did it! 

It took just about an hour, and we already did it! We will publish Bluebeard’s Bride!

We’re proud of this book, and very grateful to all of you for your support in making it come alive. We’ve always wanted to assemble a gorgeous tome, something brilliant not only in the game and the words, but in the art and the layout and the physical form of the book. And thanks to all of you, that dream is now going to be a reality.

But we’re far from done yet! We’ve got many stretch goals lined up, from expanding the Book of Rooms to growing the Deck of Objects to still more drastic changes and additions to Bluebeard’s Bride. Stay tuned, and share out the Kickstarter to whomever you can.

We’re only in the anteroom of the manor yet, goodly Brides. There are so many rooms left to explore. Help us open those locks, if you’d be so kind…. :) 

Stretch Goal #1 - $7500 - Unlocking the East Wing 

The East Wing of the manor is a lived-in place, with eccentric bedrooms and ornate baths and dark mysteries hidden in plain sight. If we reach this stretch goal, we’ll add 5 more rooms to the Book of Rooms, bringing the Book up to a total of approximately 25 rooms and 50 pages. 

Stretch Goal #2 - $10000 - Exploring the Trophy Room 

A man must, of course, have a place to display his triumphs and successes, in whatever grisly form they take. If we reach this stretch goal, we’ll add 6 more mysterious objects to the Deck of Objects, bringing the Deck up to a total of 34 cards.

There are plenty of other stretch goals after this, as well, all devoted to making Bluebeard’s Bride still more awesome! So please, keep talking about it, sharing it out, and letting other people know about Bluebeard’s Bride!
